The government is consulting with housing associations about how they can be helped to build more homes.

According to a story by Inside Housing, senior officers at the Department for Communities and Local Government have contacted executives at housing associations to set up meetings.

The associations have been asked how many homes they plan to build and how the government can help increase this number.

This round of consultations will result in a confidential policy review for DCLG and the cabinet.
